After all, up-selling is a technique employed by leading e-commerce sites to boost their sales and though you may be some light years away from them, this could be used by you effectively too. And though this is a technique,
there is not a lot different from up-selling and selling by themselves!

There are many ways you could up-sell a product, but before we get into knowing the easiest method, know that an up-sell is a product you wish to sell immediately after he has bought the first one. Needless to say, the second product or the product to be up-sold has to be related to the first product
bought by the customer.

To the point – The easiest method to up-sell is to work on the ‘checkout’ page!

What you can do with the Checkout Page?

I’m not asking you to redesign the entire webpage. Follow this process to uncover the easiest method to up-sell.

First, identify your webpage which you want to include the upsell. It could be your product page, salesletter page, your newsletter subscription page, your thank you page and so on.

Then just add an option for them to include MORE products before they ‘checkout’.

So if it’s a newsletter subscription page, ask them if they want to include a free trial offer to your other paid product before they click “Register” on your newsletter page.

If your page is a salesletter webpage, give them an option to include another of your product before they click the “Order Now” button.

Here’s another example – if your webpage is a shopping cart, you can always ‘upsell’ your prospects for them to add more quantity of the product that they’re buying.

The list goes on.

Here are some things you would like to watch out for while up-selling:

- The product you up-sell needs to be somewhat related to the product the customer bought. The closer the correlation, the better it is for you because you’ll get more sales.

- Write your up-selling ad as carefully and diligently as you would have designed your sales ad. Just the fact that the customer bought one product from you doesn’t mean he is sure to buy another!

- Up-sell but don’t push – Pushing is bad for any form of selling and the same applies in up-selling too. Inform the customer about your product and leave the choice to him. Also, bear in mind that you’re adding more value to your
customer by offering greater solutions to them in your upsell products.

The method to up-sell your product is not as tough as you would have thought it to be. Basically, if you’re not integrating any upsell in your sales funnel, you’re literally losing money.

It’ll cost you more time, effort and money to acquire a new customer compare to selling to an existing customer who already trust you and like your product.

Although the technicalities surrounding the deal make it a slightly tough nut to crack, but I can tell you that it’s worth your time to explore this powerful marketing strategy.

UPDATE: Since posting, this article is also now on Google’s page 1 >>>> Results 1 – 10 of about 182,000,000 for first page of google.

A bit of SEO and a lot of good content works to get me on page one of google out of 17.5 million other websites for the key phrase “product review for cash”

See the profe here:-Affiliates Corner’s moment of fame Sitting at number 4 out of 17.5 million!

All this is achieved partialy thanks to the all in one SEO plug in for wordpress freely available to download on the net and at wordpress.org.

And the reason am telling you this is? No, no to boast! No, don’t worry am not gona sell you anything either. My reason for telling you is I achieved this by learning from the experts, observing and then implementing what I learned.

This is one stratergy anyone can do and do it as a master if given the right tools and information to guid them. So where did I aquire these tools, information and knowledge to get 1st page and that too out of 17.5 million? Well you are looking at it – the internet. Believe or not there is a vast array of free information out there on the net for just about anything.

Yes I did say free! The only problem is the internet is a vast sea of websites and you need a GPS to find your way – huh? a GPS for the internet? What am I on about I hear you asking! Yes I did say the two words – a FREE GPS for the internet. Infact there are many Internet GPS for you to choose and benefit from, and those GPS are called “Experts”. People of knowledge and experties in a specific field.

lol, note I did not say GURU I dont believe in those and in my opinion a Guru is only out to line his/her pocket and less interested in helping you achieve success, but thats another story. So what you need to do is find those “Experts” who are already doing what you are trying to achieve and follow them – there is nothing wrong in having a role model even on the internet arena

One of those expert whose advice I followed is Joel Osborne from his report entitled “How to get first page search ranking in hours” – this is a short report on simple SEO tactics which work.

If you plan to do some Internet marketing to promote your business endeavor, you should seriously consider email marketing as at least one tier of your Internet marketing campaign. Many business owners shy away from email marketing because they believe all email marketing campaigns are purely spam. However, this is not true and not partaking in this type of marketing can cause your business to lose out on a great deal of business. By not appealing to potential customers via email, your business may lose a great deal of business to competitors who are using email marketing campaigns to reach customers around the world. However, the first step of an email marketing campaign should be creating an email distribution list. This article will discuss some popular options for doing this and should help to the reader to learn more about what is acceptable and what is not when it comes to email marketing.

Once you have made the decision to start using email marketing to promote your business you are likely facing the dilemma of compiling an email distribution list. This is essentially a list of email addresses to which you will email your advertising and promotional materials. One common way to gain a list of email addresses is to purchase a list from distributors. However, this method is not very effective at all and we do not recommend it. The problem with purchasing an email list if you have no way of knowing whether or not the members of the list would have any interest at all in your products or services. This is very important because while you want to reach a large audience with your email marketing you also want this audience to be members of your overall target audience.

When you purchase an email list you may be sending your email messages to some users who might be interested but this is largely coincidental and is not likely to be well received because the message was not solicited. Internet users are very quick to delete materials they believe to be spam without even opening or reading the emails. In fact some Internet service providers include spam filters which may automatically delete your emails if your messages are deemed to be spam. These filters run complex algorithms on the subject heading and content of the message to determine whether or not it is spam and are quite adept at weeding out spam. Therefore you run the risk of having your email marketing effort turn out to be a complete waste if the majority of recipients never even read or receive the message.

A far better way to create an email distribution list for your email marketing campaign is to ask current customers as well as interested potential customers to register with your website to receive additional information and periodic updates about your products and services as well as other information which might be of interest to them. This provides you with a database of email addresses from current customers as well as potential customers who have a genuine interest in your products and services and who are interested in learning more about these products and services. I recommend the use of a service such as aweber

Once you have a list of interested customers or potential customers you can send emails or create e-newsletter for distribution to the members of your email list. These documents should contain a wealth of valuable information as well as a soft sell pitch for your products and services. This information will be valued by the readers and may help to persuade them to try your products and services. You might also want to include useful links to either your website as well as other websites which may be of interest to your readers. Your content should also contain a portion which urges the reader to take a specific action such as making a purchase or at least investigating a product further.

To your success

Do you have your own website? If so, getting high quality targeted visitors to your site is probably your number one priority. One of the best ways to get targeted visitors is to use Search Engine Optimization (SEO)

SEO is the process of choosing the best keywords for your website, optimizing the pages on your website for your chosen keywords and then increasing your search engine ranking by building high quality links back to your website. Many people have the impression that SEO is a complex and highly technical task as the SEO manuals on the market are often hundreds of pages long and SEO professionals can charge thousands of dollars to optimize your website.

The brand new 3 Steps to Search Engine Success guide proves that you don’t have to be a techie or a marketing whiz to get your website to the top of the search engines. This refreshing SEO guide explains everything you need to know to get a good ranking in plain English

The guide comes in PDF format and at just over 50 pages long you won’t find yourself getting lost in lots of tiny detail and technical jargon. In the guide, the author Suzanne Morrison explains how you can get your existing website or a brand new website on the first page of Google.

The first chapter of the book explains exactly what SEO is and how it works. It then goes on to cover keyword research – how to find good keywords from your website using free keyword research tools and how to decide which keywords are the best ones for your website. Next, you get a step by step guide on how to optimize your website for the search engines. You will see exactly where you need to put your keywords on the page to get a good ranking. Finally, the third step of the 3 Steps to Search Engine Success eBook explains how to easily get good backlinks to your website and includes a few methods that most webmasters don’t even know about!

As well as covering the three main steps of SEO, the book tells you how you can easily monitor your progress, check your visitor stats and compare yourself against your competitors. There is also a good section describing all the things that you should AVOID if you want to get a good search engine rank. Knowing exactly what to avoid doing in SEO is important as you don’t want to end up with your website being banned from the search engines, so it is good to see a whole section dedicated to these pitfalls!

Overall, the book is straightforward and easy to read and understand, yet still manages to cover all the search engine optimization essentials. There are screenshots and examples throughout the ebook, which make it easier to follow than the majority of SEO guides on the market.

The most savvy tool of an affiliate marketer.

When starting off with internet marketing, you’ll undoubtedly end up hearing things like, “There is money in lists,” or, “If you don’t build a list, you’re leaving money on the table.”

And you know what? Those sayings are both absolutely right.

Lists are one of the most profitable tools of a savvy internet marketer; so of course, you will want to be building your own. Without a good understanding of how to do so though, you’ll probably end up getting few subscribers and not earning a cent.

Instead of the fluff that some other eBooks offer, List Building for Newbies will give you a solid core understanding, and more.

Instead of half-baked and partial ideas, you’ll get the full version of List Building 101, that covers everything from what you need to get started, to how to get more subscribers and increase their
responsiveness.

At the end of the day, you’ll have a concise, fact-filled and effective guide which will help you build and market to a list that practically sends money to you.

<img src="http://www.forcedsubscriptionprofits.com/banners/banner02_468x60.jpg"

Download your copy here – http://www.affiliatescorner.com/recommends/list-building

Why build a list?

Unlike grocery lists or spare parts lists, in the marketing sense of the term, a ‘list’ refers to a list of customers. More specifically, in regards to internet marketing, it refers to a list of emails through
which potential customers can be contacted.

If you’ve ever faced a situation where you needed to enter your details (especially your email) before you download something, then chances are that you are, or have been, part of a someone else’s list.

Even large companies that are already very established use email lists of their own to keep track of their customers, and alert them to new developments, offers, and so forth. Of course, this ties in to
yet another question at hand…

Why Use a Mailing List?

Commonly, not having a list is said to be ‘leaving money on the table’, and that much is certainly true.

Take the example of a conventional clothes store. Customers come, browse around, maybe buy something, and then leave. Once they’ve left, the store has no way of getting in touch with them,
and maybe convincing them to come back again.

On the other hand, if the store had their contact details, they could notify them when they have a new stock of clothes on the rack, or special discounts, and so on. By doing so, the customer would then feel compelled to perhaps come back, or at very least would consider doing so.

Similarly, in whatever niche that you’re into, if you had a list of previous customers then whenever you have a new product, or some other offer, you’d just be able to shoot out emails and see if
anyone is interested. Simple as it sounds, this is amazingly effective.

Think about it in terms of figures, if that helps. Let’s say you have an 8,000 strong list, and you send out an email regarding your latest product that costs $20. Even if only 10% of your list buys your product, that is 800 instant customers and you would have made $16,000.

To sum it up, the reason to build and use a list is to establish a firm base of regular customers to which you can market your products and offers too with great ease.

How to get started!

Merely inserting someplace where email addresses can be gathered and collected is already a first step towards building a list. In general, there are two choices that you’ll be faced with when
deciding exactly how and where you’re going to be gathering emails:

1. Creating an Opt-in Page
Amongst those who are honestly going all-out to build up a list, this is the most commonly employed method, simply because of its effectiveness. By creating a separate opt-in page, all the attention on that page can be focused completely on the singular goal of getting a customer to subscribe to the list.

Essentially, the best opt-in pages are those that have no ‘extras’ that may distract from the goal, and so normal advertisements and other links (except at least one leading back to the main website) are removed.

Really, it is sort of like plugging up all the ‘leaks’ so that everything just flows towards gathering up emails.

Also, having a distinct opt-in page would allow traffic to be channeled directly to it, maybe even bypassing the main website entirely. By doing so, the possibility that visitors will be distracted on the way to the opt-in page is removed as well.

Thus, the opt-in page gives the customer a two-way decision: to subscribe or not to subscribe (with everything possible being done to ensure that the former option is picked!).

Remember: With an opt-in page, your form should always be ‘above the fold’ (so that visitors will not need to scroll down to see it).

2. Adding an Opt-in Form to the Main Website
Definitely less effective under normal circumstances, it is still an option that could be considered. More so in cases of websites, especially blogs, which may not want to have their traffic leaving the main website to go off to a separate opt-in page, having the form as part of an easily located sidebar could even work just as well.

Of course, doing so does not have the added benefits of removing all other distractions from the equation, but it is still better than nothing.

How to build a Massive list!

Once you have your opt-in page (or box) sorted, and an autoresponder ready to go, there is still more that you can do in order to actually encourage a higher opt-in rate.

To put it simply: If you want more people to join your list, give them a good reason to want to join your list.

Incentives are the name of the game, and they can come in many shapes or sizes. Give your visitors something of value, and something that could even possibly assert your authority in the niche. For instance, a free report regarding some issue that is faced by many of your visitors would no doubt

be of value to them, and at the same time, by writing one and helping them out, you’d be establishing your reputation as a trusted source of help and information.

If you don’t just want to hand out reports, there are other ways to go about this too. Free newsletters, free one-month memberships (if you run a membership website), free PLR articles or software… the possibilities are pretty much endless.

As long as it is something that pertains to the niche that you’re marketing to, then you’re on the right track.

Another equally good way to build up lists is to make an affiliate program out of one of your products. If you are willing to give out a large proportion of the profits, and the product is one that is known to sell well, then you’ll easily get tons of affiliate marketers to promote it for you. That way, all these affiliates will be sending you traffic and subscribing to your list as they buy your product.

Interesting Note: Building a list in this way is actually a very attractive option because it creates a list of already ‘proven buyers’, as opposed to people just opting in to get a free report.

Subscribers vs Buyers!

A list of proven buyers is more valuable than just a list of people who want to get something ‘free’.

This is largely due to the fact that for anything ‘free’, there are bound to be people who are willing to sign up who would never actually dream of paying for anything online.

Still, even if you don’t have a list of totally ‘proven buyers’ there are some ways in which you can make a list more responsive, and possibly even convince people to buy. After all, you’re a marketer
– that’s what you do!

Scheduling regular emails

One thing that many people sometimes overlook is that a good list is like a relationship – it takes work to maintain it. If you stop having dealings with your list for a long period of time, they’re likely
to forget you, and then when they receive an email from you will be thinking, “Hey, who on earth is this guy and why is he emailing me?”

While you definitely want to avoid letting your list lapse into inactivity, you also want to avoid over -saturating your list with emails. Starting to send emails every couple of hours would be a very bad idea, especially if they’re all mostly just sales pitches.

Important Advice: A good approach is to never send two sales pitches in a row. Space them out to maybe 1 sales pitch for every 4 to 5 emails, and in between, be sure to include freebies or
information that is valuable.

If you develop a regular schedule of maybe emailing your list twice a week or so, and space out your sales pitches too, then you’re on the right track. If the emails you send in between as ‘fillers’ contain great info and freebies, then you’ll even find that your subscribers are actually eager and waiting to hear from you at your next scheduled time.

Thus, your relationship with your list can flourish, and they’ll be much more open to any suggestions of purchases that you might make.

Fullfilling the needs of your subscribers!

‘Filler’ emails, freebies and quality information is only part of building a quality and responsive list.

Truth is, this is just part of a much larger picture that revolves around the benefits of appealing to subscribers.

To be completely honest, everything that you send out to your list should cater to the needs of your subscribers as much as possible. Unfortunately, this is where a lot of people stumble, and end up not taking full advantage of their list.

Important Note: Although you might think that you know what your subscribers want, and need, there is nothing like actually knowing what your subscribers want, and need.

So the question is: How do you really find out what subscribers want? Well, apart from paying attention to any emails that you may get, it would not hurt to send out a survey. Sure, it may be slightly tacky, but even if just a few people respond, it will still be a valuable insight into the type of people who are on your list.

If you can continuously be providing products that answer the needs and desires of your list, you’ll find that you’ll be making a lot of sales. While the sales are coming in though, you’ll also develop

your reputation and relationship with your list even further, so it’s hard to say which is more valuable.

Long term – a little work spend finding out more about your list could go a long way towards helping your profits.

Establishing Reputation and Authority

Why is reputation and authority important?

When you’re marketing online, your most valuable asset, prized possession, and biggest selling point can often be your reputation. Think about it, if Mr. X released a ‘Killer Article Submission
Software’ and Mr. Y released a ‘Super Article Submission Software’, which would you choose?

As far as reputation goes, Mr. X is a fairly unknown marketer, but there do seem to be several complaints about him overly hyping up poor quality software before. On the other hand, Mr. Y is an
upstanding marketer with a long track record of going out of his way to help people, and providing the highest of quality in any software that he attaches his name to. Who would you buy from?

See, reputation is one of those things that can really make the difference, and everything that you send out to your list is part of that reputation. Admittedly, even the most reputable of marketers
have some bad things said about them, but the trick is to have the good outweigh the bad considerably.

Being honest, clear, and helpful to your list is often enough. Also, be sure never to mislead, misguide, or be so engaged looking for a quick buck or two that you forget to think about the bigger picture.

Testing for what your subscribers respond to

More than anything else, testing and comparing the response from your list to various approaches should let you know what you should be doing, and what you should be avoiding.

Basically, just learn from your mistakes, and if something works – keep doing it (just not too much!). Some lists respond very well to reviews of products already in the market. Others simply would rather concentrate on what action can be taken within their niche, and then have a plan outlined.

There is no “one size fits all” as far as lists are concerned, and your testing could reveal what the ‘best fit’ for your niche is.

Maintain, Prune and sort your list!

Never take your list for granted!

As your list grows in size, it is going to need some work to be kept ship shape. Some of this is the kind of things that a good autoresponder could even take care of automatically, but it is worth the mention nonetheless.

One simple thing to keep doing is ensuring that ‘bouncing’ emails are removed from your list. At some time or other you must have encountered the ‘Failure to deliver…’ type response that you get
right after you send an email, and can mean one of two things.

Either the email that you’re sending to is full, or it no longer exists. Whichever the case, if after a few emails the problem keeps repeating, then there’s no point keeping that email on your list. After all, why have a list of 10,000 people if 8,000 of the email addresses are outdated?

Yet another fairly simple step to help increase your lists responsiveness is to ‘sort’ subscribers based on their past buying patterns. For instance, if you have 2,000 or so subscribers that buy high-ticket items fairly regularly, then put them in one group and maybe even give them extra ‘perks’ for being the fantastic customers that they are.

But at the same time, every list surely has its fair share of people that have never bought anything advertised on the list. Some marketers just eventually exclude these people from their lists
entirely, but instead, putting them in a separate group and targeting them with the cheapest items would maybe allow you to get some profit out of them. All you need to decide is if the effort is worth it to market to this group.

Really, there are countless other ways in which to sort, or even subgroup your list. For example, if you have a very general ‘make money through internet marketing’ niche list, then you could sort
them by subgroups according to their spending habits as far as products related to ‘blogging’, ‘article marketing’, ‘list building’, and so on.

Forced Subscription Profits provides you with a different way of thinking when it comes to list building.

As affiliate marketers we are always on the hunt and look out for new ways to achieve our goals. A product we can promote or a tool we can use for the betterment of our endeavours.

With all the hype and bs filled affiliate products and tools out there, it is very rare to come a cross a true gem that can really propel you to success in your business. I believe that I have come across such a gem – but its the masses that decides if it is indeed a gem or not – you decide!

So what am I talking about?

Am talking about a little software that you can use to build a site full of hundreds or thousands of product rich content ready for you to promote and profit from. And all this can be achieved with in a few seconds – the publisher claims 30 seconds.

Watch this video for proof on how its done and how quick it is!

The software in question is Affiliate Blitzkrieg – this is a wordpress plugin but from my understanding it works for none wordpress sites too. The only problem I have with the ingenious software if obtaining the required spreadsheet for the products – a comment on this will be appreciated.

Here is a snippet from the vendors site:

“Affiliate Blitzkrieg does all of the work for me!

Not only does it create thousands of product pages, it inserts the images, installs a “buy it now” button that goes directly to the right product on the vendors website (with my affiliate code of course!), it inserts the price, the description, the title, AND puts each & every product into the right category, all at the same time!

Imagine how much time & effort this will save you!” – Imagine that indeed

You can read more about this software: Affiliate Blitzkrieg!
